F-15C Actionable Checklists

These quick checklists condense the manual procedures into cockpit-ready steps. They assume the default keyboard bindings used by the DCS F-15C manual and can be adapted to your own control profile.

Engine Start

  1. Navigation lights on: [Right Ctrl + L]
  2. Canopy close: [Left Ctrl + C]
  3. Left engine start and throttle to idle: [Right Alt + Home]
  4. Right engine start and throttle to idle: [Right Ctrl + Home]
  5. Verify RPM, FTIT, fuel flow, and warning lights.

Taxi and Takeoff

  1. Check RPM and FTIT stabilized.
  2. Taxi with small throttle changes.
  3. Use rudder/nosewheel steering to hold taxi line.
  4. Brake as required: [W]
  5. Lower flaps before takeoff: [F]
  6. Line up on runway centerline and stop.
  7. Advance to military power or maximum power.
  8. Rotate smoothly near 100 knots and establish 10 to 12 degrees pitch.
  9. Gear up after positive climb: [G]
  10. Flaps up: [F]
  1. Select NAV mode: [1]
  2. Cycle route points: [Left Ctrl + ~]
  3. Follow HUD steering and HSI bearing.
  4. Cross-check distance and time-to-go.
  5. Keep altitude, fuel, and threat state under review.

Landing

  1. Select the landing/ILSN route point.
  2. Slow below 250 knots before gear extension.
  3. Gear down: [G]
  4. Flaps down: [F]
  5. Stabilize final approach near 180 knots.
  6. Hold 20 to 22 AoA units.
  7. Touch down and throttle idle.
  8. Hold about 13 degrees nose-up for aerodynamic braking.
  9. Lower nose below about 90 knots.
  10. Wheel brakes as required: [W]

AIM-120 AMRAAM

  1. Radar on: [I]
  2. Select LRS or TWS: [2] or [Right Ctrl + I]
  3. Select medium-range missile: [D]
  4. Move TDC over target: [;], [,], [.], [/]
  5. Lock or designate target: [Enter]
  6. Confirm range, steering, and identification.
  7. Fire: [Right Alt + Space]
  8. Support until active if tactics permit.

AIM-7 Sparrow

  1. Radar on: [I]
  2. Select LRS: [2]
  3. Select AIM-7 with weapon select: [D]
  4. Lock the target into STT: [Enter]
  5. Confirm valid range and ASE steering.
  6. Fire: [Right Alt + Space]
  7. Maintain radar lock until impact.

AIM-9 Sidewinder

  1. Select ACM mode if required: [3] for vertical scan or [4] for boresight.
  2. Select AIM-9 with weapon select: [D]
  3. Place target in seeker field of view.
  4. Cage/uncage as required: [6]
  5. Wait for seeker tone and valid range.
  6. Fire: [Right Alt + Space]

M61 Gun

  1. Select gun: [C]
  2. Use radar lock or AACQ if available.
  3. Place target in computed sight or funnel.
  4. Fire short bursts: [Space]
  5. Reassess closure and avoid overshoot.
