Medals
Medals are permanent achievements. Unlike time-limited qualifications, medals do not expire once earned.
How Medals Are Earned
Medals are awarded when your saved account progress reaches a milestone. The game can check medals after a flight, after a record update, when you sign in, or when you open the logbook.
Current medal categories include:
- flight time milestones;
- Career XP milestones;
- rank progression;
- air combat results;
- missile and gun hits;
- bomb drops;
- airbase landing performance and landing count;
- boom aerial refueling performance and refueling count.
Examples
You may earn medals for:
- completing your first recorded sortie;
- reaching 10, 50, 100, or 500 flight hours;
- reaching major Career XP milestones;
- advancing to higher ranks;
- scoring your first aerial victory;
- achieving a high landing score;
- completing boom refueling milestones.
Reserved Medal Families
Some medal families are prepared for activities that may not be fully available yet, such as rocket runs, ship strikes, carrier landings, or special precision strike scoring.
These medals can stay locked until the matching gameplay activity and scoring path are active.
Medal Notifications
When a medal is unlocked, the game may show a lightweight popup. If the popup is missed, the logbook can replay pending medal notifications later.
